Here is another still life from the marine intertidal. With regard to subject and composition, and without formal training, I have always relied on my own aesthetic sense; I like what I like, I hope others do as well.
Screams summer in New England to me for sure!
The crab claw is so familiar, and the plant so unfamiliar. It makes the contrasts here even more pleasing.
I can’t unsee that ‘head of a dinosaur’ … or bird … or reptile … appearing from the left …
A nice show of shape and color. Beautiful.
Interesting … what first strikes me are the depth of blue tones here.
