Retrospective thirteen (March 2013)

Given the way in which blogs are presented, I am convinced that posts which reside more than a scroll or two behind the most recent are doomed to languish and to be forgotten. Because I believe there is value in looking at contributions from days, weeks, and even months ago, I present here a gallery of images presented during March of 2013. Perhaps it will be interesting to scroll through these and to compare them to those presented during this past month. Be patient, it may take several minutes for all of the images to load fully. Hovering over an image will reveal its title. Clicking one will take you to a carousel view and you can either move through the collection or click the links to read each post in its original form. Note that this is the thirteenth in my series of retrospective posts. If you’d missed any of the others you can find them all by using the search feature in the sidebar to the right, simply search for retrospective.

  1. Always happy to see your animal shots again. They are really special and make me smile. The others have such interesting compositions. People might think you took a few classes to get this good!

    • Hey there Leanne … I very much appreciate the comment. I have been faithfully reading all of your blog posts and have always been impressed with your productivity. I don’t know how you do it. Almost daily trips out to take photos, daily posts, your (other) professional work, your creative time, and what I’m sure are significant family responsibilities. Do you ever sleep? One reason that I have not been a very frequent commenter is that you get so many already (50 or so at a time … I don’t know how you keep up with the volume) … I thought just-one-more wouldn’t be noticed among the sea of others. I almost commented about your post concerning PC versus Mac. I had been a dedicated PC user from the beginning (since 1980) … not quite a year ago I decided that I needed a new machine and thought long and hard about PC versus Mac … I did my research and spoke to quite a few people and, in the end, decided on the Mac. As the kids would say … OMG … I wish I had gone with the Mac all those many years ago! Now, having said that … I think the PC is somehow better for text editing … but the Mac is wonderful for the kinds of photo editing that you and I are now doing. Go with the Mac – you’ll be happy you did. I’m using Lightroom with it and I’m really happy. Anyway … thanks for the visit and for the comment … both are much appreciated. D

  2. Such a creative selection. You always manage to come up with something different and interesting.
