Sunset at St. Peter’s

I continue to peruse images captured on Prince Edward Island, looking for ones that I think you might like. I have discovered that pictures taken during our time there sort neatly into one of three categories, posed photos of Joanna and me in front of one or another bit of signage documenting our progress and location, posed images of our tandem bike parked along the photogenic and seemingly empty Confederation Trail, and a large number of images intended for this blog and documenting island countrysides and landscapes. The image below surely falls into the last category and was taken at the end of day five of our trip after we had motored back to St. Peter’s Bay. Those who looked at the first in this series of posts will recall that we began our bike trip at East End and at the trail’s official start at Elmira, and ended at North Cape and the official trail terminus at Tignish. We were told by our new friend and logistician, Wayne, that St. Peter’s is known for its very nice sunsets – this one surely proves the point.
