A different sort of spinning
I returned to the Number One Reservoir to see what the morning light might be like there. In hurried anticipation of visiting my local coffee emporium I arrived too early. The reservoir which was full of light and color yesterday afternoon was now dark … the morning air was cold. I took a few uninspired shots. The pull of morning coffee was too strong … I couldn’t concentrate. As I turned to jump back into the truck I noticed that the first few rays of sunshine had reached the edge of the reservoir. The green, freshly fallen, piece of Hemlock might lead you to believe that the image records litter on the ground at the water’s edge. In fact this shot was taken through the near shallows and the brilliant oak leaf is floating on the water. It was fun to watch the veil of darkness recede as the world turned.
