  1. I have taken some weaving classes from a master weaver some years ago – but sadly have had several looms sitting around gathering dust for years now. Writing and photography are my first love, fiber arts are pushed into the background, dark-of-winter-kind-of-thing. We have lots of sheep farms in the highlands of VA and a few fiber artists as well – weavers, felters, knitter and spinners.

    • Thanks. We raise Shetland sheep here at the farm and Joanna is both a spinner and a weaver. As I respond to your comment she is here, at the kitchen table, hemming some dish clothes that she just took off the loom this afternoon. Are you a weaver? I’m guessing that you are … for who else would comment on a warped loom poised for action? D
